JULY 1, 2010………Morgan Futurity Nominations Due

Morgan Futurity Nominations must be postmarked by Thursday, July 1, 2010. Late nominations accepted with 50%-added nomination fee until July 30 or with 100%-added nomination fee until one hour before the session in which the horse’s Futurity class is scheduled.

JULY 30, 2010……..Horse Show Entries Due    

Show entries must be postmarked by Friday, July 30, 2010. Post entries accepted after July 30 with $25 per horse post entry fee. Post entries for Morgan Sweepstakes classes accepted with second-tier entry fees plus, if applicable, $25 per horse post entry fee. Post entries for Morgan Sweepstakes must be completed by NOON Friday, August 20, 2010. 

2010 SHOW HIGHLIGHTS FOR MORGAN EXHIBITORS:

·         New Location and Format.  Ingham County Fairgrounds in Mason, Michigan.  Morgan arena classes to begin Thursday morning and continue through Saturday evening.

·         Morgan Dressage classes. New opportunity this year! Friday through Sunday.

·         RaDon Morgan Weanling Spectacular.  Friday Evening. $10,000 to the Top Ten Morgan Weanlings!  Additional $10,000 Bonus Prize Money to be shared equally among any “auction get” placing in the Top Ten!

·         Uckele Morgan Amateur Yearling Sweepstakes.  Friday Evening.  $5,400 to the Top Ten Morgan Yearlings!

·         $500-Added Morgan Junior Horse Park Harness and Saddle Stakes. Generously sponsored by Damian Hyde.

·         Junior Exhibitor Morgan classes. Pleasure and equitation championships, Walk-Trot championships, Fitting and Showmanship, AMHA and MJMHA Medal classes, Open UPHA Challenge Cup.

·         Morgan Championships and Stakes.  Amateur, Junior Horse and Open Championships with paybacks.

·         Morgan Futurity Classes.  Over $25,000 in paybacks offered for our 39 Morgan “Futurity” classes!

·         Morgan Futurity Pot of Gold Program. Nearly $1400 to be split among the top four Morgan Futurity 4-year-olds! Double Points for Morgan Futurity Performance classes!

·         Morgan Trainer Incentive Drawing. Trainers who donated a month of training to the 2010 MMHBF Gala and also bring Morgan horses to the show will be entered in a $250 drawing at the show.

·         Approvals and Ratings.  USEF Morgan-A, AMHA 3-Star, MJMHA, MHSA.

    Coffee & Donuts – Every Morning

    Grilled Hot Dogs – Thursday at 5:30 pm

    Exhibitors Party – Friday Evening after the last class

ATTENTION TO ALL – The MMHBF Board of Directors is in NEED of board candidates!  We cannot continue without additional support from our members.  We need some new people to help carry on the vision of our Morgan Breeders’ Futurity.  This is a volunteer position and there is lots of work to be done to prepare for the future!  Please contact a board member if you are interested.
